So let’s start off with some basic shoulder rolls to warm your shoulders up.
Try bring your shoulders up as high as you can, as if you wanted to touch your ears—try not to dip your head down, that’s cheating. 😝
The aim is to do the shoulder rolls with as much control as possible—so to get started, try it with your arms down on your side or on your hips. The motion is as follows: Push the shoulder forward, lift and then rotate it towards the back, and then drop it. Then start the cycle again.
Practice this movement often, it’ll be quite important in your belly dance journey and is especially important for drum solos.
